Capturing a Decade of Company Culture

RedHen brings Board’s vision to life, recognizing their immense appreciation for employees.

For the opening of its third national office property in Austin, Texas, Studio 3 Marketing wanted to showcase its history as a company.

That history spanned more than 11 years, and company culture meant everything to its Board, Founder, and CEO.

We unearthed and compiled roughly 1,000 dates of key events, from the company’s founding to its own first website going live, along with the “archaeological evidence” that said X happened on Day Y—Slack messages, domain registration dates, Internet archive entries.

Work and play were separate but parallel timelines and you couldn’t quite tell one without mentions of the other.

Here’s how we pieced it all together.

Key events ran chronologically across the top of five separate display panels, followed by photos and anecdotes of the era.

A timeline of events important to the company itself and to its individual employees ran chronologically above a collection of photos from each era.
Three of five display panels shown.

Not the fastest way, not the easiest. But why not get it right?

Illustrating the timeline also required culling through thousands of photographs, and color correcting the best of them.

With a grand opening just days away.

Event attendees loved the deep dive, and that key moments from their own history with the company were highlighted.
